Custom Domain For Substack

Hi 👋🏼,

Hope guys must be rocking your Substack newsletter/publications? Well, I love Substack too there are somethings which I absolutely hate. First is that I cannot have my custom domain and second is that I absolutely need better analytics.

Agree? You will surely, IK.

So I worked and found a way on doing this and I'm really happy. I made a tool called HieFyi which lets user enable these features. I even made a demo for showing it.

HieFyi runs on BunnyCDN + Cloudflare and it's very stable but I'm still working on improvements as there is a lot more to offer. I am also thinking of adding support for themes and build some in future, what do you all think of it?

Currently, I have priced it for $49 one-time (no monthly payment) with lifetime updates. Also, there is a slight running cost (~ $10 annually) which is charged by BunnyCDN but the good news is I talked to the founder and he is ready to offer $5 bonus coupon to HieFyi users.

Now coming back to the topic, what are your views on HieFyi? Consider it as the face of the publication while Substack remains the brain and heart. Substack still manages the payments, editing and contacts and HieFyi just makes the frontend look better.

Cool service. Custom domain is a good idea. As for Analytics, Substack allows for adding a Google Analytics tracking ID in settings. This allows you to see traffic just like any website.

Also for CSS, can your provide a list of things that can be customized? Didn't find that info.

Actually Substack only let's you add tracking with Google Analytics but there lot mor tools like Hotjar, Simple Analytics, Plausible, Heap etc.

Also HieFyi let's you add any external tools like Suno or Buymeacoffee plugin.

Regarding Custom CSS, I'm still working on custom themes but if the user wants then they can write their own CSS and HieFyi will inject that.
