Customers weren’t hard to find I was just clueless

For a long time, I thought our growth problem was distribution.

More posts.

More outreach.

More “content.”

Nothing really moved.

The uncomfortable realization:

Our customers were already out there — we were just showing up too late.

I kept seeing the same pattern on IH / Reddit / X:

Someone posts: “Looking for a tool that does X”

Within hours: replies → shortlist → signup

By the time I found it manually, the decision window was closed.

So instead of trying to get more attention, I focused on timing.

LeadSynth AI does one thing really well:

  • Monitors conversations 24/7

  • Detects explicit buying intent (not noise)

  • Helps you show up immediately with relevant, helpful context

No cold emails.

No mass DMs.

Just being present when someone is actively deciding.

What surprised me:

  • Speed beats polish

  • Being first + helpful beats being “better”

  • One well-timed reply > a week of posting

Still building in public and learning a lot along the way.

Happy to share what’s worked / what hasn’t.

Would love feedback from other founders:

Do you feel your bigger bottleneck right now is distribution, or timing

This resonates a lot. A surprising amount of GTM pain is really timing pain disguised as a distribution problem. People assume they need more content or more reach, when the real issue is that the right conversations are already happening and they are just finding them too late. The hard part usually is not lack of data, it is figuring out what is actually worth acting on while the window is still open.

This was super insightful I hadn't looked at it this way before but you're right TIMING + HELPFUL matters. Thanks
