Customizable Button for Taking Donations/Subscriptions
-A script that users can place on their wordpress /squarespace/wix. blog that creates a button which accepts donations/one-time payments/subscriptions.
-Audience would be non-technical content marketers
-Similar audience/feel to buymeacoffee.com
-Make the button suuuuuper easy and friendly
-Provide non-technical content marketers a way to accept payments on their own site.
-Maybe initially could provide zapier integrations to support a patreon style subscription.
-Use stripe API within an iframe. Charge a small fee on top or maybe a flat rate <= $1.
Is there something similar already on the market? I know I've heard this idea before, but can't think of where.
Why would non technical content marketers need this? Not sure I understand the problem you’re solving.

The problem, as I understand it, is content creators have a hard time monetizing their content.
"How to monetize a blog" has about 1,600 monthly searches according to Google's keyword planner, with quite a bit of longtail.
I'm curious if a solution that can display "inline" with the content, as opposed to an off-site landing page, would offer significant differentiation from other solutions like buymeacoffee or patreon.
So you provide the paywall functionality for the content? Like a substack for blogs? I think wordpress did announce something recently and ghost also has something. And there are plugins for wordpress to handle this.
Also thinking that memberful does the payment side of things. And couldn’t someone stick a paypal button on the page?
So there are products out there. But it’s going to be good to talk to some bloggers and find out if they have pain. If it’s a competitor to by me a coffee then try and reach out to sites using that service.
This is opinion rather than fact but I’m not sure that much of those 1600 searches are related to the technical solution of monetizing. I would say it’s more about the business model than the technical piece (eg affiliate, sponsorship, products etc). Could be wrong but that’s what my gut tells me.
Not saying there isn’t opportunity. Talk to bloggers who are monetizing and find out what’s difficult or missing.
