What are you using for the hosting of your product?
Any cloud\not-cloud providers who can easily get the free credits for the super-new-innovative-indie-startup?
I've tried google cloud, aws, azure. Now is the turn of the DO. But anyway maybe I'm missing some super deals?
For instance some time ago the Azure had the startup plan and they gave like $300-400 a month in the cloud credis or something. It was pretty good option.
I recently found out about Netlify and I'm loving it! They allow lambda functions so you can still have some sort of a back-end for your site/app. It only supports Node and Go though. It's free for unlimited projects/sites as long as you're the only user.
I use Kubernetes on Google Cloud.
scaleway.com, they are cheap, reliable and have datacenters in France and Netherlands
Started on AWS $$$ -> Went to DO $$ -> Went to Vultr (my referral https://www.vultr.com/?ref=7773148-4F) $ for cost savings.
Perfect for where I'm at right now. Highly recommend DO or Vultr.
My side projects are all on a combo of DigitalOcean and deployed with Hatchbox. One droplet with many (10+) apps running. Not free, but can't get much cheaper if you run Rails applications.
My main businesses are on Heroku.
I depended on a few startups only to find them no longer in business in two years. Can you trust hatchbox?
Nothing is forever, but you are not locked-in by using Hatchbox. You own the servers (in my case DigitalOcean), they “only” take care of sever setup/config and deployments (Heroku-like experience). Been a user for a year or so.
We built our own deploy script, so what is different about this?

If you don't need 99.999% uptime, you could use Hetzner. It's cheaper but could be unstable

Heroku for most, can deploy a new project in seconds without any hassle.
