Shopify is too much and Stripe is too little. What should I use?
Hey guys. I'm getting ready to build my first E-commerce website.
I want to handle designing the customer facing website myself. I DO NOT want to handle payment, inventory management, or anything like that.
I'm happy to pay because I'm expecting some kind of portal to view analytics, handle inventory, etc.
It looked like with Shopify you can't even create the website yourself (or at least it's not designed/marketed toward developers). On the other hand, I don't want to JUST use Stripe because then I will need to build the inventory management piece myself.
I came across a couple options that seem reasonable:

Does anyone have experience with either of these? Am I going down the wrong path?

With Shopify you can use their GraphQL to built your own website. I have used it to built Android and iOS apps and it works great. Feel free to ask me if you have any question regarding their API.
That's interesting. Do you still write css and stuff? I want to have full control over what my site looks like. I think I'd prefer to use HTML/CSS.
You can use any language you prefer for the front-end. It's the same as Moltin only that you have the option to use their theme if you want.

Yes, you can tweak the entire site the way you want with HTML, CSS, JS . I am not at all technical, I was able to use their templates and get a small site done in a day.
You can 100% design your own website with Shopify - you have complete access to the HTML, JS and CSS. Shopify calls this a "theme"

Seems a little pricey.
You could use Gumroad. I use that for a few products and it is nice.
With Shopify you can create your own theme that will enable you to apply your custom design.

I heard about gumroad on here and checked it out. It looks like it's marketed toward people selling non-physical goods (so they wouldn't have inventory management).
The page I linked literally touts their inventory management features.
