Landing Pages to Help Manufacturers Establish Overseas Presence
Hi Members! I am based in Japan (from USA). I have many small/med size manufacturer type clients who need help selling their products overseas. As a start I envisage creating landing pages for them to house their presence outside Japan, which will hopefully lead to B2C and B2B distribution opportunities. We will also set up their amazon enhanced content pages and their initial distribution as their 'first' overseas customer. My idea is to package this via a SAAS service. I was wondering if anyone here may be interested in helping provide the landing page piece. If this is vague please let me know so I can clarify it. Thank you for your time!
How are you going to "move the needle" for them? Landing pages don't convert traffic that doesn't exist. When considering amazon, even if it's FBA, you will also need to factor in foreign language customer support, returns, etc. Are you handling that on behalf of your clients? (there's an FBA forum on reddit and amazon as well).
It seems like you're going to need some good digital marketing chops and understanding of the specific manufacturing product niches for this to be successful. Have you considered positioning this as a "productised service" instead? I don't see a clear SaaS model yet, but perhaps you have something more specific in mind.
