Ask IH: How/when to launch on Product Hunt?
I've never posted anything on PH before and primarily use the website to stay up to date on new products. My app, Workcapsule is currently in beta. Is it too soon to launch?
What other tips do you guys have?
Yes. For PH you want something in good working order that everyone can go use right away and be able to collect leads, etc. If you're in beta, use beta list or one of the other beta directories. 👍
Appreciate all the tips 🙏. I'm going to hold off launching on PH until version 1.
Product hunt is full of freelancers, web developers, designers and all those tech people. If they love your product, you have a good chance to boost the popularity of your product.
It's only too soon if your app is buggy or not doing what it should do very well.
Product Hunt is also just yet another channel. Don't obsess over it.
Yes, it might result in a in traffic spike for 1 - 2 days, but more often than not they are not your target audience (haven't checked your website), thus little to no-one will convert.
