DaaS/CaaS pricing strategy

Creating a Data-as-a-Service / Content-as-a-Service (where the data is the commodity), where I start initially with small amount of data/content, compared to competition (10% of what competition has), however my platform is offering more in terms of features and aesthetics (which is great but the data/content is the main importance for users).

I recently started gathering followers from the target market, before launching any product yet. I got positive response, it makes me feel responsibility and another level of commitment towards them.

My pricing model is heavily based on my competition, which have been in market for long time (they charge 9$ for a single 1 month access to the data/content).

Since I'm starting small, my intentions are to grow as fast as I can. I'm dabbling with the pricing model, as of yet I've thought of two options for when I launch:
A. Charging a bit more than competition.
B. Going free for 1-2 months, then switching to option A.

Option A will enable me to get paid from day 1. but is probably slower to grow and i'm new player in the market.

Option B will get my solution faster known (word of mouth is a huge thing in my niche), and since it's my first products, hiccups/interruptions of the service are less terrible when no one pays for it, and also I would probably gain more feedback from users.

Your thoughts?
