Dad of 3 launching solo startup on PH for first time! 🚀
Hey everyone, I'm Peter and I'm the solo founder of Copylime
Short story:
Back in August 2022 I've started to build Copylime to help me and others inspire written content for blog articles and more.
I've also had (secret?) hopes that it could help me pay for twins nursery bills with the goal to reach $1400 MRR, so far I've managed to grow it to almost $500 MRR - as a solo founder who has do to everything by himself I find it really hard to do more marketing (that works) to grow it more.

Long story:
I've always struggled to write content - so I know first hand what a pain it can be to come up with creative copy for blog articles and so on (especially when tired after sleepless night of twins crying often in the middle of the night).
So here comes Copylime with 35+ smart AI-powered writing tools - if you need a tool you don't see there please let me know and I'll build it for you and with you.
Copylime helps me write great content and inspires me every step of the way. So I hope it'll help you too.
I've put a lot of attention and effort into the UI/UX of Copylime - what you'll enjoy is a "straight-to-the-point" streamlined UI/UX for efficiency - to get what you're after fast.
My goal for Copylime is to make it an essential item in every copywriter's toolbox ✍️🚀
I'll be adding many new writing tools to cover the most powerful copywriting formulas.

How is Copylime different from the other AI writing tools?
Under-the-hood Copylime uses many fine-tuned models to produce it's output and the UI/UX is designed with the end users in mind with a lot of simplicity (I love simple and efficient products myself)

Quick feedback: I was thrown back to the homepage with the login link received by email, while I had already filled out the form to create my first article. I was expecting to get redirected to the last action I was taking.
The tool looks amazing, I will use it more in the coming days!

The magic link should open in a new tab so you should be able to go back to the previous tab where you had things filled in?
Preserving state in a magic link might be challenging as I'd need to append all your inputs to the link - I'll have a think what else could be done 🙏

I was indeed able to go back to the other tab with the filled info, but wasn't able to submit the form there (expected from a technical PoV, but as a user not obvious in my opinion).
Maybe when the user enters their email you can poll your service to reload the page for them automatically once it's verified? Though seems a bit over-engineered ^^
Or simpler, you could ask for the email before filling the rest of the form, so that written content is not lost not matter which tab their end up using?
Good point Pierre and something to think about, I think I might preserve the title and outline so that when you reload it'll put it all back in.

"I don't know if I should push some more features in before trying to market it..." the answer to that is a big no Gilly - as long as you have the core MVP feature in that will be at the heart of your startup - market asap, even before it's built (I'm doing that with ChirpHunter.com - always wanted to build a tool like that but as you know parents have really limited time 😅)

Yes, marketing could definitely help.. I might try to push a little marketing on that, but I rather invest the small amount of time and resources I have in my other project - StockSwings (since it interests me much more, and I think it has much more potential)

I am a dad of a 1-year-old and one upcoming soon.
I started a startup to solve a problem not only I am having, but most people do.
Since it is a SaaS, you can imagine how much time I need to use to get it into the kickstarting phase while taking care of my kid and maintaining a day job. :D
But I am building my company for my son, and for future generations and I believe we need to do something now for our children to enjoy the environment in the future.

I feel you, I’m in the throws of putting my job board together, it’s hard to balance the want to work on the product every hour of the day and be present and fun. I save most evenings for the work. Or days like these I take them to a soft play! Good luck dude, you got my up vote!

Yes weekends are perfect for soft play activities - although we took a break for a while as they used to get sick after each visit to soft play aka the virus distribution center 😂
Yes if I can get in 2 hours each evening of uninterrupted startup work that makes me really happy 😁
Otherwise I try to use every 10-15 minute window of "free time" to progress with even the smallest thing on my micro todo list 🙌

The website - I just visited your site expecting a green color on the page and I wasn't disappointed :) Great choice of minimalist colors and their relevance to the product name. The whole layout is very nice and I love the 3 teams you mentioned at the footer :) :) I am following "all of them" on Twitter now.
On the product - I would love to signup as I've been looking for such a product and was about to signup with another service. But that will need to wait as I will go with your one. I would love to go with the monthly subscription but the U$ to A$ conversion is a bit much and so, I will try the 500 credits.
Feedback: I think the title for the "Unlimited Pro Plan" could be "Unlimited Credits" as that would match all the other titles, and also be very enticing.
Question: Are you a coder with experience or did you study it recently just for building this product?
