You may want to get a wider variety of cover images. It can get repetitive fast if you use the same cover image more than once. You can use Unsplash API to get as many cover images as you want.

Could you be more specific on how I can improve it?
For starters, I'd try to copy the UX of an established aggregator such as lobste.rs or hackernews, as that is what people somewhat know and expect.
