Daily newsletter featuring the best 1-minute snippets from entrepreneurial podcasts

We all know podcasting is BLOWING UP. They're not going anywhere. The world is an open vast place full of information. In the '90s and early 2000's I grew up on just a few controlled channels. Now there is a channel for everyone.

This newsletter would be focused on entrepreneurs who want a few golden nuggets of wisdom to start their day.

The premise behind this is to promote other folks' podcast content using my video editor. I would use my tool to create a video like this https://s3.us-west-1.amazonaws.com/storycreator.rendered/ckah996cu0rfj0174p41t0xzg?t=1590100463914

I just heard Sam Parr on the Indie Hackers podcast and am about to feature that video on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

The interesting takeaway I got was that having copywriting skills is critical for growth. You can watch the video and see what he has to say by reading the subtitles and at the same time listen to it.

I want to validate this. If you got a daily update on the top 10 pieces of advice from Indiehackers, how I made my first million, Tim Ferris, Joe Rogan, Product Hunt, Etc. Would you subscribe?

You can think of this as the Sports Center highlight reel of the best podcast advice for entrepreneurs for the week.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

This is something I have thought about in the past for a specific niche within football in the UK. Agree podcasting is HUGE and users don't necessarily have the time to listen to all content.
My initial thoughts were to provide a quick run down of the most interesting points in one email sent weekly.
I started planning the process and it will take quite some time but, as others have said, it could be HUGE in whatever niche you choose.

I didn't realize this post had so much activity until now. Yeah, I think byte-sized versions of longer content forms are better for those on the go.

It helps newer podcasters or podcasters with great content but not so much visibility gain some attention. It helps the consumer learn from the episodes in a digestible way. It also helps promote the tool I made https://storycreatorapp.com. So it's a win-win-win.

I quickly put together a landing page and the first email is going out this week if you're interested. https://podbytes.co

    Love the idea.

Disagree with almost everything @lucarenga is saying (no disrespect).

    1. Stay on entrepreneurial podcasts only.
    2. I would say 1 minute or less to make sure people understand this is going to be quick and you can get back to your day.
    3. I agree its a TON of work so good luck!

May be able to make this a paid newsletter if done right.

Make it weekly and for $5 a month it can be daily.

Probably can get to higher MMR than your other project currently has and it's marketing both at the same time.

Interesting. I never thought about monetizing it but this is a good point. I think a good point @lucarenga makes is daily would be intense. A counter-point you make is to charge for a daily one. I think that's a great idea.

For me starting off with a weekly newsletter will be more manageable, once I get to enough traffic. I will ask them if a daily one would incentivize them enough to pay. If so, I'll do a pre-order and use that money to hire someone to put it together daily.

Yes a lot of work. If it can be systematized then it could be lucrative.

I had the exact same idea! Honestly think it could be huge, see my comment here after submitting Podclipper to PH: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/podclipper

Podclipper is dope. Is this something you worked on? I feel like this should have done better on PH. Any idea why it didnt get in the top 10?

That clip was great! It was short, reminded me about my need to improve copywriting skills, and the video was engaging :)

Awesome. If you had 10 high-value ones like this sent to you weekly would you sign up?

I quickly put together this landing page https://podbytes.co

You are absolutely right about weekly. The idea is to provide JRE clips but for a variety of interesting content. I know its been 10 days but here is what I have come up with since then https://podbytes.co/video/ckaq18gr30ebu0183zr4z21n8

JRE Clips is a great example.

I found most thoughts can be expressed in 1-2 min from the podcasts I have been listening to. You can take a look at that playlist and let me know if you feel its to short.

      Thanks for this feedback :)
