The narrative of AI as a job-terminator is not new. It's been speculated that AI might first replace roles like truck drivers, cashiers, or even jobs that involve crunching numbers. Even creative professions like artists are not considered immune. But how does the sales profession stand in the face of AI?
The role of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) could potentially be minimized or even eliminated, with automation tools taking the lead.
Think of tools like drippi.ai , sending out 400 DMs a day with zero to know effort.
Or luna.ai for cold email automation , noob style but decent reply rates.
How long will it take for AI to replace cold callers .
Anyways as a solopreneur these tools are awesome and the only reason I am making almost $10k a month now
At this point it's inevitable, the looming arrival of AGI will disrupt more industries at a scale people can't yet imagine.
Great question, Stephan Koning! The skills needed for successful sales roles cannot be replaced and are here to stay!
The skilled sales professionals will adapt and use AI the lazy ones will be replaced 🤣.
It's intriguing to witness AI's impact on sales roles, particularly in outreach automation.
I used to hate cold email. Now it's my most successful channel 😁
Make yourself irreplaceable. Stack skills and don't get stuck in one thing.
AI can also replace many "vanilla" roles if the people doing stay with what they know and do anything else. (I'm talking complementary skills.)
Well said , you would be an awesome sales coach. Join us at hardskill.exchange still a work in progress tho.
Love the results so far , what's your favorite AI driven sales tool ?
I've been looking for the best AI tool to automate sales? Since I haven't found my sales driven co-founder yet. Which do you recommend?
Depends if you want to start super-fast little to no experience then go for luna.ai with lemcal.
For less automation and a more personal touch go for Taplio and SalesNav.
If you wanna go old skool , buy 4-6 domains setup google workspaces and use an cold email automation tool with follow ups. Perplexity can help you with the templates.
Start with a dripp campaign to warmup all your domains and boom you are good to go.
For certain types of sales, such as mass email, I think thats already happening as you've already proven. Theres also though sales in certain professions or scale that requires a human touch (think pharma reps and doctors), so don't think it's a one size fits all.
