Since I decided to take a break from my project, I’ve been working on some data viz stuff including writing about it on TowardsDataScience.
I was pleasantly surprised by the audience interest though at my little tutorials. Which got me thinking - it’s 2020, and it’s still pretty darn difficult to get good, decent data visualisation done without coding.
Think how often we still see hideous Excel pie charts. What do you think about a marketplace where people can buy / access pre made data viz templates where all they would do is to input the data?
Not everybody wants to deal with d3.js, or even Bokeh...
JP, there is a market for graph visualizations. D3 force directed graphs are amazing but how to connect this to SPARQL query output? There are products but they have per seat licencing. I would have to hack my way through D3 to embed a graph visualization on my page.
