Dating App MVP

Hi,

I'm a software developer working in a full time job.
I want to have a side project and work on it in my free time - which is 2-3 hours a day, and around 10 hours on the weekends.
I'm considering of building a dating app that's pretty similar to Tinder.
Is it reasonable to build the app's MVP all by myself? would that take me years ? i'm an experienced developer but wondering whether it's just too big to start as a side project

You should listen to the How I Built This podcast with Whitney Wolfe and how she helped launch and build brands like Tinder and Bumble. https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/national-public-radio/how-i-built-this/e/51828009

It wasn't so much the technology as it was her marketing genius. Getting people to join her dating app was the critical aspect of her execution.

Yes, there are app builders for people who dont code that works similar to WIX for page creation, and it only take a feel minutes to create.

Well, its definetly not an easy job to make an impact you will need tousands of dolars in ads to get people to use you app before you can make any profit at all, creating the app itself is the least of you troubles, having enough money do advertise, thats the essue.

There's a lot of money and hard work that goes into creating a good dating platform. This is why people value services that established themselves. I happened to find some special info regarding one of the most popular options on the market that you should find interesting to read. You should understand what makes it so successful after finishing this article.
