Day 1️⃣ of 28. Month of non-stop growth

Few days ago Automations.io went live after reaching $6k MRR in 10 months of private beta.

I've spent too much time on the product and code over the last few months, so since we're now live, we're flipping this upside down.

For the whole month of February, focus is on non-stop growth.

I'll be spending 5 days a week on growth, with the remaining 2 days on code (only if absolutely necessary).

I'll be documenting everyday what I've done and share all relevant numbers - leads, conversations, trials, customers, new MRR, etc.

Goals for this this week are:

  1. Record a new short product video for the landing page (our beta product tour needs an update)
  2. Start personally emailing all historic leads that we either talked to or they have shown interest in the product (I briefly mention where these came from in the comments here)
  3. Get back into being pro-active on LinkedIn - carry on growing the LinkedIn Company Page and start approaching businesses to book calls/demos
  4. Get a blog up and running, we need to start writing content!

I'll be posting updates daily on my Twitter and here.

Is there anything you want me to share or keep track of in daily updates?

Thanks and let's go!

Sounds exciting. I hope you share here too.

I'd love to know how and when you decide a growth experiment is 'finished' and to call the results either way. And also how you choose to prioritise down from the 394876 different things you could be doing to pick what you focus on each day/week.

Great idea in recording all this, looking forward to reading more!

I've followed you on twitter and will be looking out for your updates.

You have specific tasks to complete, but do you have any specific targets you'd like to hit by the end of this month of growth (e.g. X additional Twitter followers, increase conversions by 0.5%, etc.)? Granted it might be difficult to see significant changes over this relatively short time period.

Automations service looks good, by the way. Nice work :-)

      Hi again Latn,

Thanks for bringing this up, I've changed my mind regarding my earlier comment and I've set a target!

      I've posted a new update here https://www.indiehackers.com/post/day-4-of-28-month-of-non-stop-growth-e3e5b3cf00

      Hi Latn,

It's a good point! I'm not setting a target right now, reason being, we just came out of private beta, we don't have any existing conversions to compare to. I'd say what we're doing right now is (ignoring private beta numbers) - we just launched, let's go on a 1 month journey of trying to get this off the ground and acquire paying customers and grow MRR as much as possible.

Thanks for the question and feedback! 🙇
