Day 1 of my personal newsletter

Hi IH community, I've just emerged from the long hiatus of writing and today just decided to publish my new newsletter v1. The audience is founders and makers. The newsletter's goal is surfacing interesting content from Tech Twitter that I love and bookmark.

Here it is: https://keepupwithkp.substack.com/

I'm using Substack and it's going to be sent out every Thursday 12pm EST.

What is your advice/strategy on how to go from 0 to 100 subscribers? Thanks in advance!

Define what "best" means. You have three examples buried deep down in your first issue. It was hard to find and I only found it after a minute or so of looking.

and you probably mean "unsubscribe" in this line:

If you don’t vibe with it, you can subscribe anytime.

Thanks for the feedback Andrew, fixed the typo. And yes the examples were buried way too deep. Where did you see "best"?

Meant in general you need to define your editorial thesis. It helps drive readers. I understand it is your personal newsletter and you will say "whatver i like..." or something similar. Just be honest and forthright about what you like. Define the types of things that interest you. Make it easy for someone to want to subscribe... instead of guessing.

Congrats on getting it out there.

Reach out 1 on 1. Everyone you know who needs to be getting this email.

    Here’s a game plan as well https://twitter.com/harris_bryan/status/1259426264642961409?s=21

    • How about tweetstorms?
    • Or sharing the content on IH? With a CTA at the end to subscribe (Meta but might work)
