Day 1: Quit overthinking, shipped Conviction — a portfolio decision engine for traders

I've been trading crypto for 5 years. The problem I kept running into wasn't picking bad projects — it was never having a clear system for choosing between them.

I'd have 12 "pretty good" positions and no capital left when something genuinely high conviction came along. I watched things run without me more times than I want to admit.

So I built a tool to fix it. It's called Conviction.

It scores every position you hold or watch across 5 criteria — product quality, mainstream potential, return vs target, social reach, and tokenomics. Everything ranks on one leaderboard. When something new comes in, you can see immediately where it sits and what it should replace.

It also has a fund calculator that tells you exactly which of your weakest positions to trim to fund a new one. That single feature has already saved me from three bad decisions this week alone.

Where I am today — day 1:

  • Product: fully built as a React app (built it myself over the last few weeks)

  • Domain: getconviction.io registered today

  • Company: Conviction App Ltd filed with Companies House

  • X account: @convictionapp live with first posts up

  • Email list: 0 signups (just launched, being honest)

  • Developer: Upwork job posted to connect it to Supabase + Stripe

What I need right now:

Honest feedback more than anything. Does the core problem resonate with you? If you trade — crypto, stocks, anything — do you actually feel the pain of too many "maybe" positions and not enough system?

I'm also looking for people who want early access to beta. Free for the first 50. If you want in, drop a comment or DM me.

What's next:

  • Landing page live this week

  • Beta to first users in 2 weeks

  • Paid launch ($19/mo) at month 3

Building fully in public. Will post weekly updates here with real numbers, wins, and the mistakes I make along the way.
