Day 2: $200 MRR and turning down $1,500/mo.

Not even a full 48 hours after launching on Product Hunt and I just got my first client! They signed up for my largest package for leadsify.com

Damn it’s a great feeling. 🎉

Immediately after signing up they asked me about my $1,500/mo. ‘Done for you’ solution. I politely declined and let them know I added them to the waitlist.

Why?

The done-for-you solution is still in beta. I’m working with a couple web design agencies and freelancers refining the process, features and more importantly how to get them the best results possible.

Getting the right SOPs, systems, automations, and training in place allows me to scale this to more clients and ensure the best results possible.

Never give up and launch your business!

I’m looking to share as much as I can with IndieHackers through this process; however follow me on Twitter if you’re interested in more regular updates.

Congrats!! That's a huge milestone and I bet it feels amazing.

Also well done on your site design. It looks incredible. If you ever want to chat let me know -- I've done the bootstrapping thing and came out the other end, so I love talking with founders and see if I can help them at all or at least be a good listener / wall to bounce ideas off.

Great job, congrats! How much time has it been since the idea generation up until the first sale? :)

      Thanks Nik

Idea came about 4 or so months ago, I reached out to some designers to see if they'd be interested in help growing their design business.

I worked through the process with them and figured what worked, what didn't and received valuable feedback.

I started working on what's currently Leadsify a month ago, a ton of work, late nights, missed social events and so forth. I was ready to go about a week or so prior to my launch on Product Hunt but wanted to shoot for a Monday based on what I read.

nice, thanks for sharing. did you have any competitors at the time when this idea popped to your head?

I honestly didn't even check, I saw a recurring problem within the communities I was apart of and have had experience in solving that problem for my companies in the past.

I figured I'd reach out to a few designers, test it with a few, refine the process and create a service if it worked for them.

The good news is that it really doesn't matter if I have competitors, the market is huge and my leads are 100% unique to my service. I've refined, and continue to refine the type of leads I find and the data associated with each lead.

I notice that a lot of people think that whatever idea or business they create needs to be 100% unique with zero competitors. Aside from one of my previous businesses I've never been the first to market.

Take a look at how many Twitter tools there are, how many site analytics services, form tools, etc. I tend to find an industry I enjoy, niche down as far as is reasonable, figure out what works and create it.

that's the answer I was looking for to be honest, there is enough pie for everyone, just gotta make sure you do it right! Thanks for your answers, appreciate:)
