✅ YESTERDAY I worked on implementing a new newsletter to send out with the top milestones from IH. I got the basics of the newsletter implemented and the design looking decent.
🏆 RESULTS were pretty much nothing user-facing. Just internal code. Not great for growth!
👷♀️ TODAY I'm going to try to finish the newsletter in its entirety. Not sure if I'll just turn it on internally for a few days, or skip straight to enabling it for new signups.

Working on showing a real-time visitor count in Plausible and writing about it. This is the first time I'm trying to write a technical blog post as I'm coding the feature. Usually I write them after the feature is done. It's actually really interesting how it forces you to focus and be very explicit in the thought process.

Urgh. Maybe I need to set up a proper email account for rosie.land, was really trying to avoid that :(
I think you only need to look at DKIM (Domain Key Identified Mail) as this will then say that emails from this domain are valid (This can be done without setting up a separate email). I would have a look at https://blog.emailoctopus.com/improve-your-email-deliverability-with-dmarc-spf-and-dkim/ as a lot of marketers use no-reply@ which can be a non-existent mailbox.
What do you use to send emails? Probably, you can hook that thing up to SendGrid, they offer 100 emails a day for free, and avoid setting up an email account.
EmailOctopus, will have a look at SendGrid, I'd rather solve the problem with EmailOctopus rather than switching, I think. I have a month until my next email, so have a bit of time to sort it out.
Seems like you can integrate EmailOctopus with SendGrid though Zapier

Previously I've used Mailchimp. Decided to change when starting afresh and chose EmailOctopus due to them being 'indie hackers'.
I'm still new to it and figuring stuff out. From comments below I need to sort out some spam issues, though I can see that 16% have opened the email that I did send. I didn't want to set up yet another email account...I have so many atm, going bonkers.

It's my very end of day, and I'm gonna go with "tasks done today and what I'm going to do tomorrow" and use an alchemy emoji because it exists. No results section because I expect results over many months, not over the course of a day. I'm just focusing on process day to day, and will post results at 10, 20 and 30 days.

Best not to include your Twitter id at the front of a tweet, people who don't follow you won't see it (as much), I think. At least that's the way it used to be.

🏆 Well, we're starting with some new plans, still needed to come with specific short and long term goals to meet by the end of summer
👷♀️ Today was a random day where I mostly helped a friend with their new dating app (Anonymiss check for it in the coming months!). But I was able to hammer down the specific goals of where I'm going with Pulse in the coming days.

Not great "public" reception from Reddit as you can see. I got kicked off of /r/makeyourchoice! I think I'm done posting anything at all to Reddit about the game until multiplayer lands. And even then, I think /r/ rpg_gamers and /r/gaming will be the spots.
That being said, this one-time audience responded very well. Of the 110 users, 8 of them created user accounts. These 8 players submitted over 100 moves each! Someone even read the blog: https://danger.world/blog

I've generally had a good experience on Reddit. Was it a community you were already a part of? Also, were you breaking their guidelines?
I generally have too. /r/makeyourchoice and /r/cyoagames were attempts at finding related subreddits and I hadn't really engaged with their communities before, which was certainly part of it. For /r/makeyourchoice, they have a very specific format that they adhere to, which I didn't match. I was inspecting the subreddit more closely after I got the message. Lesson learned.
It is raises the question of "should I just do paid Reddit advertising" at some point.
