Day 2 of "$5k in 30 days" challenge: Is Reddit a good source to find clients?

About a month ago, I stumbled upon one of Indie Hackers' post https://www.indiehackers.com/post/after-10m-views-13k-upvotes-the-reddit-strategy-that-worked-for-me-4788d618d2?commentId=-NvaH0MzWPtxCnODYIu9.

In the post, he shared how his company, Mokkup.ai, were able to get 100 to 150 conversions from organic content on Reddit alone.

That gave me the idea to create my Reddit account 2 days ago and start exploring the platform.

I spent almost the whole looking for communities in the realm of digital advertising like r/PPC and r/FacebookAds. Since my goal is to also look for e-comm business owners who need help with their ad creatives, I followed a couple of subreddit on that realm as well.

(It didn't occur to me there are some subreddits that don't allow you to publish a post until reach a certain account age. My post for r/forhire got removed).

Other than that, I've finally finished my portfolio and included more of my design work on ad creatives, which I think I should've done sooner, considering the big opportunities for ad creative designer out there.

The reason I chose to focus on the design aspect of digital ads is because I love being involved in the creative process. Researching for references, creating layout and creating compelling copies, have been things that I enjoy without minding the time.

Lastly, I've planned to complete my profile on Contra and Fiverr since I've gained so many insights on how you can succeed and gain more clients in those platforms.
