i write this lying on my bed, recovering from a 3-day cold.
was a little lethargic, but need to keep going.
most of my focus these days is on the re-launch. let me tell you about it.
from my experience as a brand builder, i always assumed the more unique something is (eg. the world's first whatever), the easier it is to grab attention & eventually get sales.
but what i learnt from building in public and launching was that something super niche and unique might not have any demand at all. that's what happened to me. i built what i can technically call the world's first reverse file search for mac (the way you can search by image on google), super useful for me as a graphic designer, but i hardly saw any demand post launch.
while most startup advice tells you to try and get more users before building more features, i am doing the opposite. i need to build features that have more mass appeal so that i can bring more eyeballs to my current product.
and that's why i am going in for a re-launch. re-did my landing page, and have been working on some video assets for the past few days gearing up for the re-launch.
still need to work on two more assets, need to film myself, but keeping that for tomorrow.
but that's the update for today.
curious to know what you are working on this sunday!
