Day 5 of building Conviction in public — content, distribution, and a BTC pump

Quieter day on the building side. Heavier day on distribution.

Published blog post 2. Targets "how to score your crypto investments" a keyword with meaningful search volume and essentially zero competition from established crypto sites. Same structure as post 1: problem, framework, worked example, CTA. Solana as the scoring subject this time. Requested indexing in Search Console immediately after publishing. Both posts are now live, both indexed, both showing impressions.

Then did something I haven't tried before, published the blog post as a native X Article on the brand account. Same framework, fresh introduction, Solana worked example. The reasoning is simple: X suppresses posts with external links. A native article gets pushed to feeds the same way a tweet does, which means the content reaches people who would never click through to a blog. Early engagement on it is promising.

BTC pumped today for the first time in a while. Posted a reaction on the brand account, not about price, about conviction. The traders who held through the flat period held because they knew why they owned it, not because they were guessing about timing. That framing resonated. Replies coming in from people who sold near the bottom and are now watching.

Also posted a coin scorecard. Scorecard posts during a pump outperform everything else because people are in active discovery mode, they want to know what to buy next, and a scored breakdown gives them a framework to think with rather than just another hot take.

Numbers - being fully honest as always:

Paying users: 0 Blog posts live: 2 X Article published: 1 Google average position: 3.7 Search Console impressions: growing, checking Mondays for full picture AlternativeTo: live in 2 days when account hits 7 days old

The pattern I'm noticing: original framework content gets likes, coin-specific content gets replies, and replies to other accounts get profile visits. Three completely different engagement mechanics. The play is to run all three simultaneously rather than picking one. Framework content builds credibility, coin content drives engagement, replies drive discovery.

If you're building something in public, the distribution work feels less satisfying than shipping features but it compounds the same way. A Reddit comment today is an indexed piece of content that drives traffic for months. An X Article today is a backlink and a reach amplifier simultaneously. None of it feels like progress in the moment. All of it is.
