After my Fazier launch earlier this week, I realized that building a product is just the first step—the real challenge is getting it in front of the right people.
So, I sat down and mapped out my marketing plan, focusing on where my ideal users actually spend their time online.
At first, I thought about classic channels, but then it hit me: most people looking for laptops are scrolling through Instagram or YouTube, not just tech forums. That’s when I decided to go all in on short-form video.
Here’s my plan:
Instagram Reels & YouTube Shorts: I’ll create videos under 30 seconds, showing quick tips, behind-the-scenes moments, and product highlights. These formats are perfect for grabbing attention and reaching a wider audience, since both platforms promote short, engaging content123.
SEO: I’ll write practical blog posts answering real questions about buying laptops, so people searching on Google can find me when they actually need help.
Social Media: I’ll keep sharing my journey and updates on Twitter and Instagram, focusing on authentic stories and connecting with the community.
The goal? Reach people where they already are, keep the content short and valuable, and build trust through transparency and consistency.
Do you have any recommendations for me ?
Sometimes people want to be sure they're not making the wrong choice, more than them wanting to make sure they're making the "optimal choice". Instead of only sharing specs and details (still good to do this) try comparing things head to head to highlight key differences so they can make a confident decision.
You can also make recommendations for specific users and use cases, for example:
"if you're looking for a screen bright enough to use outside"
"do you need something that can keep up with your editing workflows"
"Looking for a lot of storage and a fast processor that's light to carry"
Another thing you can try, which might require putting a little faith in the algorithms to share your content with relevant audiences would be an "A vs B" kind of series.
For example you can make videos that begin by asking: "Laptop A vs Laptop B", which one is:
right for you/ right for video editors/ right for heavy daily use and then you proceed to explain.
Another approach would be mentioning key features of a few different models and building a hook out of asking your audience to guess the right choice for different use cases, for example:
Laptop A has X feature, Laptop B has Y feature, Laptop C has Z feature, which is best for suited for "this task" or "this constraint" etc...
I think you can come up with a lot of different variations to post. More importantly, I think you should focus on what action you want viewers to take. Getting viewers to your site and to answer the questionnaire might not be easy (maybe it is, who knows) but you can
1. target different audiences (ready to buy but hesitant/ not ready to buy but would like to learn how to evaluate laptop choices for future reference, etc) and build out different content offerings for each.
2. try to alter your CTA in a way that makes people WANT to participate. Quizzes are pretty popular and people like to use them to introspect in a sense. So try experimenting with the purpose of your questions. Maybe instead of selecting the right kind of laptop (if that's too much of an ask right off the bat) maybe they can answer a few questions to find out "what kind of laptop user they are" or "what kinds of laptops are best for them"
3. innovate in your content. for example, instead of straight forward classifications, try really developing different customer profiles that actually resonate with people, for example "someone whose whole life revolves around apple but needs to buy a windows" or "someone who has a top of the line rig but wants a secondary to carry around" (hint: they might say they want something cheap, but in reality they would probably be miserable with too much of a performance difference.
Don't know how this would fit into your existing offering, but just some ideas off the cuff. Don't know if it's helpful, but wishing you the best!
Thank you very much for all the help, I am going to start experimenting, now what I am trying to do is build that place where we can share more with the community, we will see how it goes, I will share everything around here, thanks for the support
Glad to hear it, Good Luck!
One thing to remember for those videos is starting with the ending first. It's one way to get people to watch the whole thing.
And if you want to go through the hassle, you can try and get ahold of some 'micro' influencers. Some folks that would be cheaper and easier to get ahold of. Just as a way to test the market in that area.
thanks my friend, we will see how it goes as head of marketing jjjj
I like where your heads at. Check out seobotai, it might help you out with SEO.
I usually see breakdowns and comparisons on youtube because buying a laptop is such a big investment.
thanks , i'll check , good recommendation
No worries
Awesome!! Love the 'build in public' style. What do you think of going to forums about hobbies that people into laptops/tech may have? On Reddit/ Discord for example
yes i'll try it , but reddit is hard with the recommendations
