Just noticed the challenge, so it's only my first day joining. But the timing is perfect. We need growth!! 🔥🔥
We've had a focus on building cool stuff lately, but now it's time for others to see. We've had another ProductHunt launch last week, but the results were a bit unsatisfactory. We hoped to get a top 5 badge.

Skipped couple of days with https://growthgame.app — game for founders to grow and launch their startups faster. I hoped to launch by now, but early testing and feedback were unsatisfactory, so I decided to take a step back and revamp the engine to deliver on promises I put on the landing page.
✅ What did you do yesterday?
– Revamped the game mechanics, removed product comparisons completely. Now, you'll only be graded on how well your product is doing.
– Previewed new game mechanics prototype to 5 people (8 with friends and family) and got super valuable feedback. Thanks to fellow indie hackers who also gave me feedback on Saturday.
– Coded about 40% of the new engine.

– No growth since I've been only working with my existing list of early sign-ups.

– Pushing hard to get the engine coded and launch it this week.
✅ I edited and published a previously recorded video to YT.
✅ I finished and published the article I was working on.
This also involved some coding since I removed all cacheing of articles on the site. It can handle such a ridiculous amount more traffic than it's ever likely to get, I just don't think it's worth even the minor level of complexity a cache brings.
⚗️ Tomorrow, I'll record a podcast and catch up on some reading.
This month I'm working on growing Indie Hackers' milestones feature.
✅ YESTERDAY I sent out the first weekly version of the "top milestones" email to 2000 people. I also built a Twitter list of indie founders who I'd like to see posting IH milestones.
🏆 RESULTS were ~100 visitors to milestones and some positive feedback on the email. I feel more confident about rolling the email out to more subscribers this week. Also, as a result of my new Twitter list, I should be better equipped to do more outreach and "sales" to get influential people posting milestones in the immediate future.
👷♀️ TODAY I'm going to try scanning through my Twitter list to find cool milestones, then ping the people behind them to see if they'll cross-post to IH for tomorrow's milestones batch.

🏆 I've decided that perhaps reaching out to companies on Product Hunt (the smaller ones with fewer upvotes) might be a good way to market the analytics platform. I contact them and give feedback on their product, and then hopefully pitch Pulse to them as an aside.
👷♀️ Still working on figuring out how to reach out to dev shops, my hopeful target for accelerated growth. I'll hit up some people on product hunt. Posting out a new blog post at the end of the day, that should get us a nice spike in traffic as well.

👉 After reading another horror story about Paypal and HN comments, had an idea that Paypal-only payments could scare people away.
So removed some Paypal branding and added more general credit card images and created a fake button to pay not by Paypal.
Will check how many clicks button receives before deciding whenever it's a real issue.
Also will try to be helpful and explain to users why they still can't pay not via Paypal.
👉 Reached out to the several people, today in particular from the .edu and well known non-profit, to figure out why they're using the product.

👷♀️I'm trying to find a better way to log my results for both my projects, the way I was doing it was too fiddly for me. I'm creating a Notion template. I guess I blog about it and share the template once I'm done (it's really easy to copy over to your own boards)
I've moved my notes to Notion, it's a bit fiddly, but hopefully it will visually help my wee head be clearer in what needs doing.
There's also a couple of templates there that you can grab if you feel inclined to do so.
I think longer term it could encourage me to keep doing the challenge for myself, though I'd probably trim it down to weekly goals/tasks/updates.

With Tripetto you can create simple surveys as well. I couldn't resist duplicating your survey in Tripetto.
