Day 8 #buildinpublic: Building the Find Me A Laptop Blog (Fast!) 🚀

This week I decided it was finally time to give Find Me A Laptop its own blog. I wanted something fast, modern, and easy to update—so I went with Astro. I’m honestly surprised at how quickly it came together: in just two days, I had the whole thing up and running, styled, and ready for content.

Once the blog was live, I dove straight into keyword research. Instead of chasing big, competitive keywords, I focused on finding those “hidden gem” topics with solid search volume and low competition—just like the pros recommend. That’s when I noticed something interesting: there’s a ton of demand for super-specific laptop comparisons (think “Model X vs Model Y”) and for practical guides like “how to repair your laptop.” Both topics have plenty of searches and aren’t saturated yet.

So, my plan is to start publishing detailed VS posts between popular laptops and actionable repair guides. The goal: attract people who are ready to buy or fix, not just browsing.
