Day 8 #buildinpublic: Building the Find Me A Laptop Blog (Fast!) šŸš€

This week I decided it was finally time to give Find Me A Laptop its own blog. I wanted something fast, modern, and easy to update—so I went with Astro. I’m honestly surprised at how quickly it came together: in just two days, I had the whole thing up and running, styled, and ready for content.

Once the blog was live, I dove straight into keyword research. Instead of chasing big, competitive keywords, I focused on finding those ā€œhidden gemā€ topics with solid search volume and low competition—just like the pros recommend. That’s when I noticed something interesting: there’s a ton of demand for super-specific laptop comparisons (think ā€œModel X vs Model Yā€) and for practical guides like ā€œhow to repair your laptop.ā€ Both topics have plenty of searches and aren’t saturated yet.

So, my plan is to start publishing detailed VS posts between popular laptops and actionable repair guides. The goal: attract people who are ready to buy or fix, not just browsing.

If anyone has tips for making these kinds of posts stand out—or tools to make the process smoother—I’d love to hear your recommendations!

organic traffic for now is nil, I have just started.

no I do not write it I am with AI but then I give it my style, I already managed to find a flow to make the posts, the next thing is to automate the entire system

Love this approach — smart move going with Astro for speed, and your keyword strategy is spot-on. Those ā€œvsā€ and repair guides are SEO gold. Excited to see it grow! šŸ’»šŸ“ˆ
