Day 8: TikTok is working. Slowly.

Day 8 of building in public 👁️

Yesterday I posted my 5th TikTok video.

"POV: it's sunday night and your brain won't shut up"

253 views in the first day. Not viral, but consistent.

Here's what I'm learning about TikTok:

  • The algorithm is generous if you post consistently
  • Retention in the first second is everything
  • AI images + text + music > screen recordings (learned this the hard way — one video got penalized for "non-original content")

Total across all videos: ~1,200 views in the first week.

App Store downloads: 12.

Small numbers, but real people downloading a real app I built.

One week left until the Uneed launch (May 22). That's when I'm expecting the first real spike.

Until then: keep posting, keep iterating.
