Hey Indie Hackers,
Today I launched Dayora, an AI-powered journaling app that provides personalized insights.
I’ve journaled on and off for years, but nothing stuck. Most apps just stored text or offered shallow prompts. So I built what I needed.
Why Dayora exists
I wanted AI that learns my patterns, enables voice-first writing, connects mood to broader habits, and ties that to evidence-backed routines, all private and fast.
What it does differently
- AI insights that surface mood and trigger patterns
- Voice entry with transcription and cleanup
- Mood and energy tracking with optional factors (sleep, movement)
- MED wellness framework (phone-free time, breathing, regulation)
- Privacy-first architecture
- End-to-end encryption
The stack
- Next.js 14 + TypeScript
- Prisma + PostgreSQL
- OpenAI GPT-5-mini
- Resend
- Vercel
- Playwright (testing)
What it costs
Free for users.
What I want feedback on
- Most valuable feature
- Missing features
- Adoption blockers
- Monetization direction
- Product Hunt launch approach
- Growth tactics
“Congrats on the launch! Love how you’ve gone beyond generic journaling to actually connect emotion, habit, and data. The privacy-first approach stands out too — most AI journaling apps skip that part. Curious how you’re planning to surface insights without overwhelming the user?
Congrats on launching Dayora! Using AI to derive personalized insights from journaling and mood tracking is compelling. I appreciate the voice-first approach and emphasis on privacy. Making it easy to get started and showing quick wins could help adoption. Excited to see how you grow it.
Congrats on the launch — Dayora sounds genuinely thoughtful! I like that you focused on meaningful insights instead of just storing entries. The voice-first journaling and mood tracking tied to habits feel really practical. I’d say the biggest hook is the privacy-first angle — that’s rare in wellness apps. For monetization, maybe offer premium analytics or guided reflections later. Excited to see how it performs on Product Hunt!
Congrats on the launch! The idea of combining journaling with AI-driven mood insights sounds really promising. Love the focus on privacy and voice-first input — feels like a big step toward more mindful, personal journaling. Great work!
