What front end framework do you use most?

Budibase is framework agnostic, but we'd love to know what frameworks Indie Hackers are using.

Thanks for your responses!

I wrote a ~15 line grid system and mostly just stick to that. CSS is one of my favorite parts of web development, so I let myself design products from scratch every time.

I've heard good things about Tailwind, though.

Ohhhh going to check it out... like right now

Anyone tried Svelte : https://svelte.technology ? I really like it, not quite sure how popular it is.

      I heard it's rubbish.

    Framework? Bah.

    (Unless Bootstrap and Pure count)

Bootstrap 4 rocks and it's pretty well documented

At the day job: Vue.js, I'm loving it coming from a js/jquery background.

I love Vue, especially due to its size!!!

    ReactJS mostly

I love JSX and the Reactjs community is awesome.

      1. 1

        pretty much yeah

Material UI is probably the most decent but I find there are always limitations with frontend frameworks and so normally stick to ReactJS with styled components and then create my own theme.

I couldn't agree more. Styled components rocks. I dabbled with SC on a Gatsby build. It was a great experience.

Material UI - It's solid and fits our product's desgin purposes.

Couldn't agree more. Material UI is solid!!!

If you like React (I know I do), check out Next.js - it allows you to build SEO-friendly sites using React. I'm using it for building the latest iteration of my consulting business website.

      Cheers for the link

    React mostly.

Kinda liked Vue.js when you only need to add a small UI functionality instead of using jquery/js for that. However, the community packages/documentation are not as good as React and JSX is much nicer than the Vue templating.

At the moment ReactJS with Webpack if it's an SPA, otherwise Blendid for simple static sites

ReactJS is pretty popular. I love it tbh

Reactjs - because of components. I want to try VUE when I get a minute.

      The react buzz is strong

I've tried multiple framework s along the way, all of them limit me in some ways.... But tailwindcss seems to have less of that so I try to stick with it as much as I can.

    1. 1

Never tried tailwind but I've seen it mentioned a lot. Might give it a try at the weekend. Cheers
