The main feature is that Subscribers will invest in a Creator for a portion of their earnings. Is there work on a Decentralized Youtube like this? This would be very difficult application with lots of smart contracts. Here are User stories I came up with to get my idea's down. What do you think?
Ethereum used as payment as an example. Would probably be a new token in reality.
Decentralized Youtube User stories:
As a User, I want to see a list of videos so that I can click to watch one.
As a Creator, I want to post videos so that I can increase Subscribers and views.
As a Creator, I want to increase Subscribers so that I can gain Ethereum from each Subscription.
As a Creator, I want to increase views so that I can gain Ethereum from ad revenue.
As a Subscriber, I want to Subscribe to a Creator with Ethereum so that I can gain a portion share of their future earnings.
As an Advertiser, I want to create an ad with Ethereum so that Users will buy my product/service.
As an Advertiser, I want to see a dashboard to view analytics from ad engagement.
Sounds cool, but this can easily be abused.
If i'm a user, what's stopping me from subscribing to all Content Creators, if I can earn from their views?
If I'm a user, what's stopping me from creating multiple accounts to subscribe more?
It would cost Ethereum (or whatever token) to subscribe to a Creator. Maybe the Creator has different tiers of subscription that they can set.
If a Subscriber chooses subpar Creators, Subscribers risk not making back their money. If Subscribers don't make back their money at least they are part of that community and maybe they received the creators NFT for subscribing.
In this case, having more than one account to subscribe multiple times to same Creator wouldn't make a difference
