Demo page of an app for understanding your spendable. Please, take a look and comment on an idea :)

https://new.finkee.org/

My team and I were working for a few years on a PFM tool Finkee as a pet project, which is up and running now. It, also, brings some revenue, although it's not something that we wanted to achieve.

So, basically, we are creating a redefined app based on a lot of users' feedback and insights both from users and the market itself. An idea is as simple as:

Spendable = Planned income - Planned payments - Planned savings

Math is pretty simple and we will use sync with a bank account in order to automate tracking as much as possible.

Here is a demo of an app: https://new.finkee.org/

The questions for an MVP are:

  • Will people entrust an app to sync with their bank account in order to easily understand their spendable and plan for the future?
  • Will they pay for such an app after 30 days trial and how much?

We are planning to launch this in Germany and the plan is to target international students at the beginning (we will provide 1 year free for students of course because we also were the students recently and it's not quite a rich state for a person to be :D )

Dear community members,
if you have any type of insight, question or you just don't like the colors on lending - please, say.

Huge thanks in advance and coming back to building the server-side!

I like the look of the landing page. Very clean and straight to the point.

The app's idea is a great one. Personally, I always wanted a few years ago a service like Mint in my country that can help me with the spending.

The biggest challenge that I see here is educating your customer on how safe is for them to add their bank account in the app.

Other payment apps already noticed that there is a need for a budgeting feature so they already included it: for example Revolut (they have many options on how you can track your spending/budget/categorization of payments etc) . You can get inspire from them as well.

Thank you for a reply, yes the main challenge here is to make card sync secure and easy and, also, successfully explain that to users.

Yep, Revolut has awesome app and the only part there we can compete in terms of budgeting is that in their app they track only data related to their card. But definitely their design and implementation are awesome.

      Thanks for your feedback!

Looks nice. There are some similar apps in US you could take inspiration from, I can't remember the name for some reason.

Page has a lot of grammatical issues. Consider using grammarly to correct them.

    Good luck!

      Thanks for your comment!

We have looked through a lot of services like Mint, YNAB, Spendee, Toshl etc. They all are quite similar, but we want to simplify the approach very much by replacing traditional budgeting for categories with simple planning without categories.

We will fix grammar and thanks for grammarly recommendation, will take a look.

      Thank you :)
