Describe your dream partnerships. Indie hackers, let's partner up!

Hey IH,

Lately, I have been focusing more and more or partnerships to help me grow my new service to help Entrepreneurs and Developers validate faster with Better Landing Pages and it's been so powerful!

I've been noticing not only great learnings from other people's experiences but also faster results by leveraging other people's network to get more feedback and leads while offering the same thing in return (obviously) 👊

How could a partnership help your Project?

List out (at least):

  1. Who is targeting a similar target customer?
  2. What can you offer a partner them in return?

See you in the comments and let's help each other! 🤝

Hey @pedrocortes do you know about http://cohounder.com yet? I build it so people like you would have a place to advertise your interest in co-founders or partnerships. Just thought you might find it helpful in your search 😊 (it's free too)

Hey Jarrod, sounds interesting but the link is broken :(

        Fixed, forgot the .com 😂

I highly recommend that those of you looking to partner up with others take a stab at attending (or hosting) an Indie Hackers meetup in your area. Check the list of meetups every now and then. They're currently happening at the rate of about 60 meetups/month, all over the world.

At the very least, even if you don't find a cofounder or some sort of partner there, it's a good opportunity to get some feedback on your ideas, your approach, and your pitch, and to learn from others and their projects.

For sure Courtland and 60 meetups/month is way more than I expected glad you implemented this :)

Also, this post was intended more around finding overlapping markets and partnering up not something location specific like a meetup (tho great to meet cool people).

Cheers, keep up the awesome work!

Nice idea. I run PostPerk - an aftersales tool for ecommerce brands.

    1. I'm looking to partner with anyone who sells to ecommerce brands. So Shopify/Wordpress/Woocommerce etc plugin and theme developers mainly.

    2. I can offer them a revenue split/commission, straight up cash, or exposure in my newsletter (2'000+ founders subscribed).

    Email in profile!

Very cool Louis! Any success with other marketing efforts for PostPerk so far? Seems very useful tho ;)

Thanks. So far direct sales (mainly cold email) has been the best channel.

What kind of people are you targeting -- seems really cool.

            Ecommerce brands. Thanks!

Great idea, @pedrocortes! Here are my answers for FullService (https://fullservice.co/), where we offer premium marketing services for a flat monthly fee.

    1. Startups that target startups that are ready to grow fast through content marketing, but don't have the resources or knowledge to successfully create, distribute and leverage content themselves.
    2. We are in the process of setting an affiliate program and a reseller program. This would allow you to make money and make your clients happy by reselling or referring our services.

      Seems like a win-win Jeroen :)

    For me it's:

    1. Projects that are targeting very early stage startups and people validating their MVP's which could include partnering up with people providing feedback as a service, developing MVP's or early versions of products (apps, SaaS and so on) or anyone that have these people as clients (might be missing more ideas).

    2. I can offer a good Landing page for their target customers to explain their value proposition faster as they can just drive traffic (inbound + outbound efforts), more info here. I can also offer my ideas and experience from building more high-end Landing pages for startups or for selling services.

I have no idea but I'm open to suggestions! Great question!

I'm working on http://schemaexplorer.io/ to help developers with their databases.

    My strengths are

    • I'm a coder so can build it
    • I'm solving my own pain so have a good idea what it should do
    • I know people I want to help with it so can get feedback and ideas from humans
    • I like writing and have bigger ideas so can do content marketing in theory
    • I love people so have no problem talking to people about it and their pains

However I think I have these weaknesses, which could be opportunities for collaboration:

    • I've lived a sheltered corporate developer life so far
    • My graphic design skills aren't great
    • I'm new to sales & marketing
    • I think oddly I'm afraid to get traction for some reason
    • I'm struggling to find the time to do day-job + kids + coding the thing + promoting the thing + interacting with early users.

I think I'd be interested in collaborating with someone who has some passion for helping the same group.

I could offer sharing some of my experience as a developer with someone who is interested in that area, but I'm open to ideas or requests.

    Great idea!

I'm working on APIQ which offers a professional CMS for developers and agencies, and, of course, their clients.

Would be interested in partnership with someone offering other service in this area like design/SEO startups so we could organize a full suite together.

    Great idea @pedrocortes !

    For us, it's:

    1. Agencies that focus on UI/UX, growth marketing, design, preferably mission-driven!
    2. Lutendo does software development of all kinds, from apps to AR/VR

    Great idea @pedrocortes!

1 - My startup, Linhub.co enables peer groups (also called mastermind groups). My target market are founders from growing startups (not in ideation or validation phase). So Stripe Atlas / AWS / Salesforce / Gusto / etc.
2 - Could provide a disccount for the users to get into either group (self facilitated or facilitated by a pro coach) and let them scale with the support of other founders with real experience that will give them honest feedback.

Cool Franco, thanks for sharing ;)

Ok... but where's the link? :P

      Cheers!
