Describing Your Startup to Potential Customers

I would start with the problem you're trying to solve:

"Do you know the situation when [explain the customer's problem]? We've encountered the same problem so many times and thought we needed to do something about it. That's why we built [explain your product/service and how you're solving the problem]."

That's how I would go about it :)
