I was making a list of design patterns that I tend to repeat while building web apps. I thought sharing it here might be useful for someone. I think I sort of understand what you mean. Thank you for the comment.
When posting within a community you need to assume that no one knows who you are or what you are posting about.
Therefore, in this context, when posting a link you need to provide information about what you are posting about.
Generally, in any community these days it's super important and valuable to help people where they are. That means posting information within the community rather than just a link outwards to your own thing.
If you don't do the above, then your account will end up being reported for spam. And of course, ultimately, it gets reported or seen as spam because it isn't actually useful to post a link without context of why the link is potentially useful to the people here at IH.
