Desperately need some help with my landing page

Redid a couple of things from my initial landing page. I know the copy sucks so if you help make some suggestions with that I'd appreciate that too. Thanks!

Where can I improve the CTA?

Where can I improve formatting?

    Visually it’s well done.

The copy is quick and to the point. Great job!

I scrolled right to the ‘How it Works’ section as you sold me on it with the opener.

However (and you knew this part was coming right?) ;) there is a bit of friction to using the app - import my contacts and doing some data entry to set up my calendar seems harder than it needs to be.

How about - share this url and play a game instantly? A different workflow but the value proposition “play games with your friends” remains.

Thank you firstly for the response!

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a simpler way of showing how it works besides this. :( You will need availability and contacts to schedule a playdate.

From a product-positioning standpoint, who are you targeting?

I'm an adult gamer with kids, a job, a house, a dog, and finding time to game online with friends isn't easy, so I could see this being useful for me, but the page doesn't appeal to me in any way at all - way too generic.

The feature set matches up - I have contacts in a contacts app, I use calendars, etc.

But, the term "playdate" has a childish connotation, and not in a fun, ironic way.

Personally, I don't say, "play online", I say "game online", for instance.

If you're going after the busy, adult market, maybe go all in on that - job, kids, spouse-aggro, the window of opportunity being short, gotta get in and get out fast before the dog needs a walk.

If your target market is teens - as the parent of teens that game, they don't have contact lists (not in the iOS/android way anyway), and they certainly don't use calendar apps. They use snap, instagram, tiktok, discord, and the gaming-platform connections. Does it work with those? "Social integration" is so generic I almost overlooked it.

"playdate", again.. I doubt that would appeal to my teen son.

Either market, though, the page is super business-y. You're not doing b2b saas, right? You're all about fun, and making the opportunity for fun! The page should reflect that.

      Thank you for replying!

You would be the exact demographic that I would be targeting. Busy adults/professionals that play videogames is mainly who I am going after. Teens and students usually have a pretty open schedule anyways so I'm not too concerned with them.

I am totally open to changing the name, but I thought it was fun and lighthearted while also capturing the core of the business.

This is a B2C business idea. I am not a designer but this is my first design pass at getting my idea out there and getting some feedback.

Edward , I would love some more feedback from you if you can spare a few minutes to take my survey.

    It looks good.

From a copywriting perspective, I'd recommend ditching the adverb from the headline, so remove "Intelligently". Adverbs like this tend to weaken the word that follows, so go straight in with "Schedule time to play online with your friends".

But as the tagline repeats five of the key words in the headline, which is a waste of valuable real estate, I would suggest changing it to:

"Schedule online play time with friends, without the back-and-forth texting
Playdate helps you spend more time playing and less time planning."

Or something like that. Use the tagline to say something different to what's already been said in the headline.

A few other copywriting changes I'd suggest to cut down on words:

Select the days that work best for you and what times. Also specify what console you have, and your favorite games.

Select the days and times that work best for you. Pick your console and your favorite games.

Send an invitation link to your friends to let them know that you are wanting to play with them!

Send a link to friends inviting them to play.

I'd also ditch the word 'specify' from all other copy – it's quite formal-sounding and probably not a word people use when chatting to friends. Swap for 'choose' or 'pick'. Sounds more conversational.

As a non-gamer, it was not until I got to the mention of 'console' that I realised this was aimed at gamers – maybe that's me being slow, but if gamers are your target audience, I'd make this clear in the area above the fold, perhaps with an illustration of a console or .

The illustrations themselves look a bit generic and more work-related than gaming/play-related. Assuming that gamers are your target audience, then I'm not sure that these illustrations reflect that.

I'd suggest asking a few gamers for their opinion – hide the copy and show them the page. See if they can tell from the colours and illustrations alone that this is a landing page designed to speak to them.

In terms of the CTA at the very top, I suggest aligning that with the email field – with space in between, it's not totally clear that the two work together. Lengthen the email field to touch the "submit" button. And swap "submit" to "sign up" or "create free account", depending on how it works.

I know that's a lot of feedback – hope it helps!

The font is pretty big! But other than that I love it!

Thanks! I will reduce the font lol
