I have taken lot of courses spending thousands of dollars. The reason I have failed is because I blindly followed their steps. Simon Sinek talk resonated with me. In one of the YouTube video, he says: "Destination is fixed, the route is flexible". This mentality is crucial for overcoming obstacles. Now I am able to come up with solutions for obstacles like cold calling business owners to add value to their business. How are you overcoming obstacles? Did you let them stop you?
Someone once told me
Each obstacle is an opportunity to experiment and learn. It's okay to say you didn't succeed what you set out to do.
When I'm starting something new, particularly learning something I am not trained in or have experience in, I am focusing on the process instead of the goal or results. That's not say I don't set the goals, but early on there's a lot of chaos I'm accepting by trying something new and the process will help me bring order to it.
This helps me focus on continuous improvement. It's that improvement and growth that keeps me from stopping and striving to be better than my previous attempts.
