Developer-entrepreneurs: Would you find this framework useful?

We are just finishing up building a new tool for easy & fast high-end application development built on MESG called Liteflow.

It's a open-source framework that runs your app's business. It saves developers & teams from busy-work by making it easy to reuse existing or repetitive components. Devs can focus on refining business logic, and go quickly through multiple iterations without worrying about challenging reconfigurations.

Some notable features:

  • Build much quicker with reusable components
  • Connect easily to existing components that feature any technologies or languages
  • Control your app's growth rate and only pay for exactly what you use
  • Own your components & processes, secured by a blockchain
  • Stay in control of your application and processing, no reliance on a centralized authority to keep your app afloat
  • Use technologies without having to learn or manage them, like using blockchains without having to sync a node
  • Earn revenue from the components you build, or for the processing you contribute on the network.

Would this be a product you'd be interested in trying?
Are there any channels would you recommend to reach developer-entrepreneurs looking to build high-end apps easily?

    Hmm sounds incredibly generic. Improving reusability should be among the basic skillset of developers. I see a lot of promises, but I cannot wrap my mind around a practical approach to apply those.

    "Secured by a blockchain"; hmm nice, but why? I don't even see the how, but that's not important if the why cannot be answered.

    Connecting with any component regardless of technology or language; sounds nice, but I suppose there will still be technical boundaries to processes etc.

    All in all I can see the dot on the horizon where everyone would like to go with this tech. However, the practical application is still miles and miles away.

    Things I would focus on:

    • Delivering the promise of an open component marketplace.
    • Implementation of custom components, modification of existing components to fit in specific use cases.
    • Luring in developers with very basic examples (even an hello world would be amazing).
    • Providing guidance on complex projects and its maintenance (Seeing an 50k loc equivalent project would already have convincing power to see how well it scales)

    This way you can provide a roadmap towards a certain goal, while staying grounded with real world development requirements. Most blockchain tech projects are like it's a bus stop in the thermosphere to hop on a shuttle to the moon, but for most people getting just to the troposphere is already far out of reach.

    Ps. personally I like to see a proof of work when it comes to the amount of intellectual effort put into a project. Especially if I'm going to build my own solutions onto some other tech stack, I want to be sure it fits me, is flexible, and will facilitate my needs going forward. Less is more (look at the feature set of popular JS frameworks over the last 10 years). Writing about core design decisions helps me to get a general idea of the philosophy behind a project.

      Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate it and will work on implementing these. The blockchain is used to decentralize processing securely, so you can have the advantages of app development platforms like Firebase, but without the restrictions and vulnerabilities of centralized solutions.

    What reusable components? Why do my processes need to be secured by a blockchain?

      Services and processes are the reusable components. We'll need to get more specific on that, thanks. And the blockchain so the processes can be securely distributed, if you were interested in avoiding centralization issues like scalability or vendor lock-in.
