Developer ISO Sales/Marketing Assist

Hello!

I'm working on Homeschool Space. It's a platform for managing a homeschool group's common membership tasks as well as creating a professional looking website that's accessible from any device. I'm a homeschool parent and found the existing providers of similar services are a bit long in the tooth and often more expensive than what the average group has room for in their budget.

Unfortunately it turns out I'm a better developer than salesperson. I'm currently looking for someone to partner up with that can help market and sell Homeschool Space to groups in the US. From the conversations I had with leads since launching in the summer I learned that most renew their provider contracts in the spring or summer, so I believe starting early in the new year may help line up migrations to the platform.

Please get in touch if you're interested and capable in helping grow the site.

Thank you!

I know some homeschoolers and the FB groups they participate in tend to be small, local, insular... but there are a few resource-shares that carry across broad bands of these groups. You'll want to try to get there.

It seems like you're well positioned for some good social sharing, and if the first adopters like what they see it will catch on. I do know that these folks share "things that work" very rapidly. I do not know if the pricing is what the market will bear.

If you haven't seen this, its well worth 5m:

What I think is probably most useful there is that you need to nurture the first folks. Iterate and improve quickly based on feedback. Hold hands and help them. And with some love support and maybe even a good song, soon everyone will be dancing in the Homeschool Space.

Good luck.. hit me up directly if you want to connect/etc or wish to discuss further.

Hey Harry - I like the website. Very clean. I'd strongly consider putting in place a Free Trial option so people can test it out. How many people have either tested it with a free account or signed up as a customer?

I think the best time to partner with a salesperson is after you've gotten some customer traction. My gut is that you probably haven't had sales not because you're a bad salesperson (which may or may not be true) but you've hit a wall and are having trouble punching through.

Your product seems tailor made to try and get feedback from folks on Reddit, Facebook and other online communities that have homeschool parents. That's less about sales than it is about reaching out to people consistently.

@cyberbadger Thanks for the feedback! I do have a free trial option for 30 days. There's been one group that moved forward with the trial, but didn't end up using it beyond a few clicks. You're right on hitting a wall - I'm not active on social media anywhere, which is most likely contributing to that.

Yup, exactly! I’d think there are probably very active groups of parents online that are in the homeschooling community. I think you need to reach out and ask people for feedback on your platform.
