Developers: Would you put your articles/resources/podcasts/content behind a paywall?
Hey Devs,
How many of you have considered becoming a full-time creator and putting your content behind a paywall for others to benefit from?
Maybe you write daily Javascript development articles, share advice for a programmers career, or make video tutorials about certain frameworks, teach algorithms?
Trying to get a better feel of where things are header for developers in the creator economy.
If I went full time as a creator I would 100% provide free content such as tutorials, career stories, guides, etc. but also have paid content that would be much more in depth. From a consumer perspective, I would definitely pay to access content that was unique and not so generic or comparable to the free stuff online.

So much of that is already freely available. People do it to 'build credibility'. I would not pay for these kind of things. Maybe if it was a monthly magazine with in-depth articles on a range of industry topics.
Yes that is true! What about something like Kent C Dodds course?
Never heard about the guy. I get my books, tutorials an courses from a somewhat pricey Safari subscription (the learning platform from O'Reilly).
How much does that cost you?
