Developing Mobile App & Admin Panel within 8 hours? Why not? #buildinpublic

Is it possible to develop a mobile app with an admin panel in 8 hours? We said, "why not?".

Today I, @mfurkanyilmaz and @galiperkin will try to develop relaxing sound app Cheepy from scratch.

We'll share the whole process from here and on Twitter*. Please give us feedback during this joyful challenge.

Update 1️⃣ - 12:05 (UTC+3)

The only part of the app that is "partially" ready is its design. But we also need to seriously update it. While Furkan focuses on the Admin Panel and Erkin on the mobile backend, I will quickly update Figma.

Update 2️⃣ - 12:46 (UTC+3)

Furkan added a great feature to create "Mixtures". Now we can prepare amazing mixtures from our own Admin Panel! 🎶

Update 3️⃣ - 14:04 (UTC+3)

Cheepy's design seems completed. We'll check the flow while coding - whether there are missing parts or not. Now it's time to close Figma and open VSCode! 👨🏻‍💻

Update 4️⃣ - 14:20 (UTC+3)

The team is tired, now it's lunch break! 🍕

Interim status report:

🎨 The design is completed.
📱 Coding onboarding pages are done.
🔀 Admin Panel API is ready.
🔒 User authentication is almost done.

Update 5️⃣ - 16:09 (UTC+3)

The hardest part of the app -player and its logic- is completed successfully! Kudos to our dev team lead Furkan!

Update 6️⃣ - 17:10 (UTC+3)

Admin Panel is live as we enter the last 2 hours! Through the panel;

🎵 We can add sound.
🖼 We can add image, colour and icon.
🎛 We can create "Mixture" by mixing sounds at different levels.
🔑 We can do user authorization.

Now is the time to focus on mobile!

We passed the 8 hours but it's almost done! Now, we have to connect all pages with the backend and do the final touches. There are just a few pages left! 🚀

Aaand it’s done! It took ~2h longer than we expect but we successfully developed Admin Panel & Mobile App.
