Devs building products: where are you getting stuck right now?

A lot of developers I talk to have no problem shipping code
but turning that code into a business is a completely different challenge.

Sometimes it’s:

building something solid but struggling with distribution

getting users but not revenue

over-engineering instead of validating

not knowing if the problem is the product, the pricing, or the messaging

or just being unsure what to work on next

Curious where are you currently stuck?
What’s the biggest non-technical blocker you’re dealing with right now?

You’re not alone. Most dev-founder issues aren’t about code, they’re about clarity and focus.

Would love to hear what others here are running into.

This hits very real problems, most devs don’t fail because they can’t build, they fail because they don’t know what to build next or how to make it matter.
If I had to summarize the biggest non-technical blockers dev-founders face, they usually cluster into a few patterns like Distribution, Validation Paralysis, Weak Problem-Solution Fit, Monetization Confusion, Lack of Focus.

Exactly. Most technical founders already have enough capability to build something functional. The harder problem is identifying which problems are painful enough that people consistently care. Distribution and clarity seem to compound faster than raw feature depth.

Appreciate it I’ll check out your work.

Stuck at the marketing phase of my product. Finding folks interested in what you create is tough. I've always been a bad salesman though to be fair.

You're actually not a bad salesman, you might be doing it in a wrong way.
what product are you trying to sell and how do you market your products?

It's a SaaS that provides a set of CI/CD software tools. I pushed it lightly on Hacker News and then LinkedIn. I realize that there must be a lot more work to be done, so trying to learn more and figure out if folks in the business might actually be interested in it. If not, at least it was a fun project to learn new skills.
I don't want to use your post to market my stuff; I just feel that has to be bad form. Thanks for the supportive words!

You've really got a nice skill, have you ever thought of selling them to agencies or start up companies who might actually be in need of it. I once worked with Ayomide olaniyan. he's a great connector you might want to reach out to him?

Worth sending his profile link to you?
