Did anyone try to apply Whatsapp Business API?

Is it difficult to apply it? What are the pros and cons?
You can apply through twilio however approval is skewed towards large brands and corporates. What do you intend doing with it though? There are ways of automating WhatsApp if your use case is small, without needing the official API.
I am thinking about a help desk based on WhatsApp. If the official API is not available, it's not possible to sell it to customers.
The price of twilio is too expensive. If I don't get it wrong, for each message it charge for $0.005.
