Did I cram too much into my landing page?
Hey folks,
I'm about to launch haveibeenexpired.com to the public next week, and would appreciate any and all feedback on my landing page.
Problem - SSL certificate expirations cause outages
Solution - Tracking and automated discovery of SSL certificates within your domains, notifications before expiration ensues.
The current offering is completely free, and I intend to leave it as such to drive acquisition. So no pricing etc.
General questions:
- I want to provide value to anonymous users by offering to check any public host. Does this de-focus from the Sign Up CTA?
- I tried to keep a very clean design, but did I overdo it?
- Am I missing important parts that would increase credibility?
- Did I cram too much into a single page?

Looks like a pretty good idea @adrukh! The website is very simple to use.
Personally, if you ask me, rather than having an open system where people can check SSL certificate, try giving them 1 free demo run without having to sign up. If they want to further test more sites, ask them to sign up into your system and then let them try out unlimited number of sites. That way it's a mutual benefit to you and the user.
I don't think you've crammed a lot. In fact it has all info needed for a visitor to understand your tool. What I think you need to include is the reason why you made this tool. The problem needs to be shown to the user so they can relate to it.
Also, design is clean! Trust me, I'm into designing and yours looks neat+functional which should be the main goal at the end of the day haha!
I wanted to share detailed feedback with you actually and tried loading your website into ruttl but it's giving me an error. What's the tech stack you've used to make this website?

Public vs signed-up value split - so right now I offer a one-off check of any website, and there's no limit to how many times you can repeat this check. I'm also not asking for anything. This leads to quite a high engagement rate imho - 50% of people landing on the site end up checking at least 1 website. I'm also hinting at the full experience as I present related websites once you provide yours. For example, checking facebook.com will suggest to check messenger.com next, etc. This could indeed be too subtle for now... I want to start with this wide funnel of 50% public engagement, and see how much of it I can convert to sign-ups. So thanks for this feedback, I'll see how I can use it to drive conversion to sign-ups further.
I was thinking the landing page is quite loaded as I was comparing it to 'longer' landing pages, where you can scroll through 3-4 pages, each focusing on a specific value aspect. I want to keep mine simple, so one page should do it. Appreciate you seeing it this way as well!

Actually now that you've explained the first point of funnel, I actually am thinking it the other way too. It's good for user engagement and to shift users down the different stages of funnel.
And thanks for sharing the tech stack! It'll help me improve ruttl further. I'll have my team look into why the website isn't still loading up on it ;)

You should definitely use You, your etc but you also should be clear about what you are selling, in terms of benefits delivered to the user, value proposition and uniqueness of offering ( that separates you from the competition).
Regarding your second question:
I like the design and the idea. Only feedback is to make the 3 points under your CTA a bit shorter and faster to understand for people landing on your page.
