Hi everyone!
I'd love to know more about those of you who managed to successfully build and launch a product while having a full-time job. I'm about to do just that!
How was your process like? Did you set yourself deadlines? Where you able to meet them? What was the hardest part?
I've heard consistency is key, how did you make sure you kept at it every day!?
I've read a lot of the IH interviews, but they don't tend to go into these areas.

I built:
1 free app. Colors & Fonts 33k monthly
1 free newsletter C & F Discover 1200k subscribers
1 paid product.Wicked Templates 100 visitors daily. We opened not even 2 months ago.
I started to work myself in the last one Wicked Templates, but I knew I wasn't going to be productive working alone and taking care of my other products.
After talking with a friend while building Wicked Templates, he suggested some ideas but I couldn't do it myself because I can't backend at all.
So I asked him to join and he accepted, then I offered him 50% because I knew he is such an asset. He is full stack...
I did like Mick, @Primer I worker my ass off at night.
For example, from 20.30 after I would put my daughter to sleep to probably. 04.00, and still doing it.
Also a good time to work on it was on my brakes, I normally have 1h or 30m.
I removed my car coz I needed to get in shape, so I used to backlink and making post about it on the phone on Dribbble, DevTo, Twitter, Instagram.... Sometimes I would see a bug, and because at the beginning C&F was on Github I was going to the file and fixed it manually...
And of course if it happens that I am alone I work on it too.

Thanks @Michael_Andreuzza, I'm also doing this with someone else and going 50/50, splitting the load is definitely helpful.
Finding or making the time when I can work on it while everyone is asleep is what I'm focusing on right now, it's a nice challenge.
Btw, I'm really liking some of your Wicked Templates, you've got a good product going there, congratulations!

Well, I developed a landing page (to validate the project). But that's it. It is definitely doable but I guess that depends on your current circumstance.
Thanks @azhan I don't get much "free time" right now so I'll have to use every bit I get to make progress and squeeze in a few hours at night.
Yup! A lot of late nights and willing myself to getting to that first sale. No secrets - just grind it out!!
Thanks @tomzaragoza that's what I'm starting to notice, I think it'll come down to how badly I want it and how much time I'm willing to put in, despite everything else.

Thanks for sharing @Primer! I have tried working in the early morning, do 4 am to 7 am but I also have kids and started to get up earlier the moment I started doing that, so I'll switch to working at night and see how it goes.

Thanks @kan, interesting point about working on you smartphone, I should figure out what part I can get done on it, it would be helpful for the times where I can't be at my desk!
