Did you have an MVP?

For Higo, we choose to identify 1 feature, and build it.

# Why we did that
Higo can be integrated like Intercom or Crips in customer product. So having a so-so user experience was not possible. Our customer wouldn't integrate a mediocre product inside their own product. So we choose to build 1 feature at 100%.

# Downside
An other way I use to build other product is to build further features and identify which is the most used by users. For Higo, I pray I have chosen the right feature to develop ^^

I built an mvp with a free tier and let it run for 18 months.

I added more features over time to react to user feedback and my own ideas, then eventually added a paid tier. Not a scientific process, just when I felt comfortable charging.

With hindsight I probably could’ve charged earlier.

I think having some MVP or prototype is important to attract potential customers and investors. Without them, most people won't be able to envision what it would look like or what value it would provide.

I've released several products and online services before. When I'm thinking about releasing something new, I always create at least some kind of pitch deck where 3D images of the products are displayed or a landing page in which viewers can see digital images of the products or services.

I'm a perfectionist so if I try to make it perfect, I will never release anything. And, there is no such thing as the perfect product. Perfection is a process, not a destination.
