Did you take any online courses or joined any (other) communities that helped you build a business?
I am looking to learn more about building a business or a profitable project. What's the best indie hacker education? (Other than doing it because I am already running a few projects). Any advice will be much appreciated.

Here are a few resources:
Reddit.com/r/entrepreneur is a great resource (though you have to filter the content) with a few case studies, AMA's, etc.
Hacker News has a LOT of content but you may have to use Hacker News search: https://hn.algolia.com try for example to search "profitable business" and that will you give you a ton of results and insights
Other readings I'd recommend:
Farnam Street (blog on thinking and decision making)
Read this blog post from EmpireFlippers on 11 types of online business models. Their posts are generally well explained https://empireflippers.com/11-popular-business-models-online/

I'm struggling with technical knowledge which is why I'm doing teamtreehouse.com courses on JavaScript
I cannot tell yet. Just got started with it. But since I consumed the free content they put out for 1,5 yrs I'm pretty much optimistic that it is worth the money.

For an online class, I go out of my way to recommend YC's Startup Class. It's free and you'll learn powerful frameworks and mental models that you can be applied right back to your project.

Doesn't make sense: practically speaking, how does accountability look? A Skype call once a month? daily email update? Forum?

I need to better explain the concept of how accountability works!
It's a 30 day challenge. It includes 5 like-minded entrepreneurs (who each have the same goal to read daily). And every day during the 30 day challenge, these 5 people read, and check in with each other...aka hold each other accountable.
I saw the 30-day challenge but didn't get that it's the main point. I thought it was a kind of "add on". That's something you should say at the beginning.
"30 day challenge. Check in with your group of 5 like-minded entrepreneurs (who have the same goal) every day and follow your progress"

Out of curiosity, if you had thought the 30 day reading challenge was an "add on", what did you think the MAIN product was?
I've tried to rework some of the copy to clean it up here. Hopefully it is a little more clear now.
