You don’t have to be rich to live richly.
In Vietnam, the air smells like fresh herbs and sizzling noodles. A delicious meal? $2. A great haircut? $5. A stunning apartment with a rooftop view? Less than your car payment back home.
But it’s not just the cost of living that makes this place magic.
It’s the people.
Warm, generous, and curious - always down for a chat or to help a stranger. You don’t feel like a tourist here. You feel like a guest.
Oh, and did I mention?
I’m officially a millionaire now.
That’s right. Dropped a cool 100,000 on lunch the other day like a baller. Vietnamese Dongs, that is. Roughly four bucks, with iced coffee and a side of "I can’t believe this is real life."
For anyone building online, the ROI on your lifestyle in Vietnam is unmatched. It's not just about surviving - it’s about creating, scaling, and thriving.
🇻🇳 You bring the laptop. Vietnam brings the rest.
Pretty much sums up why half the remote workers I know end up in Vietnam. Everything stretches like crazy there. The only annoying part is still dealing with US tax crap from the other side of the world. I switched my domicile to Florida this year and it took a stupid amount of stress off. Used SavvyNomad for it, they handled all the boring DMV and mail stuff while I was bouncing around and that let me enjoy the cheap banh mi life without thinking about state taxes.
I looked at spending some time there, but I have a 14-year old daughter who will be using online schooling, so this is a safe place for females? I don't wish to imply it isn't but I need to ensure she is safe.
I have no idea.
Sounds like heaven.
It's very nice indeed.
I'm in Vietnam too - it's great! Da Nang and Hoi An are two of the best places in the world for me, and have been on the road for 3 years non-stop!
Glad you love it!!!
Looking forward to visiting, I'm north in Cat Ba now, roaming south soon.
I love Vietnam and also Danang, beautiful city. But tbh, sometimes I wonder if it's too chill for a startup and the hustle we have to deal with. The environment is very important and it affects one's energy a lot.
The more time goes on, the more I am attracted to this idea. I will have to do it at some point, sounds too good to be true.
This mindset will keep you wishing forever. Pick the date, do a budget, start packing and go! Thousands of nomads are roaming the world, and you can join in.
Can't leave my family behind thou. Have to convince them first.
If you have a family, you should focus on different dreams.
