Dinosaur App for sale

I'm an audio-editor by trade. I always though the App Store would be a good platform for kids' audio and so I created a story app, Dino Stories: five traditional fairy-tales re-told with dinosaurs, music and sound-effects.

I wrote the stories, hired a professional to narrate them, edited the recording, and mixed the music and SFX.

Sadly, I'm not a marketer. I've released apps before that have done alright with little input but this app is doing nothing at all. I haven't made a single sale despite reducing its price and improving its graphics.

My marketing budget is zero and other priorities are taking up my time.

I could leave Dino Stories moulder on the AppStore or I could sell it to someone who could make a mint. It's a good app. The kids I've tested it on love the stories. There's no reason it shouldn't generate decent revenue.

Take a listen to the preview or download it for yourself:

Hey there, I just wanted to say that I sympathize with your situation of having to sell your Dinosaur app. As an indie hacker myself, I know how much time and effort it takes to build and launch a product, and it can be tough to let it go. That being said, I wanted to mention that I recently launched Fordeer: Invoice Print Order for Shopify, and I believe it has the potential to help a lot of merchants streamline their operations and improve their efficiency. If you're interested in exploring new opportunities and adding more value to your app portfolio, I encourage you to check out Fordeer: Invoice Print Order. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

From someone who is trying to build something similar and someone who has a 10 yr old who is kind of addicted to youtube and stuff my 2 cents.. I believe kids might love it but for them to buy something it needs to bring them an appeal of wow factor.

Kids want to be wow'ed and made to be felt special. at least those who land up in these kind sites/apps. But to wow kids every time using these kind of tactics is a bit difficult as most of the kids are extremely fickle.

Maybe you should try to convert it into a subscription service after showing them one story or one audio so that they would try to come back.

My thoughts after trying to build such a service which has not yet been launched.
