Today I received an email from Cloudflare saying that DiscountHub passed 10,000 pageviews in a single month for the first time.
DiscountHub is a free platform for finding discounts, promo codes, store promotions and online deals. It also includes an AI shopping assistant that searches our own database for relevant offers.
The project is still early, and pageviews do not automatically mean revenue or loyal users. But after weeks of building, publishing updates and testing different promotion channels, it is encouraging to see real growth.
The next goal is to turn more of this traffic into returning users and understand which acquisition channels bring people who genuinely use the product.

What metric made you feel that your project was finally starting to gain traction?
To be honest, the best place to start is right here on Indie Hackers. Overall, though, it’s Reddit. I got banned there early on because I didn't read the rules, so I wasn't able to use Reddit for promotion.
10,000 pageviews is a useful milestone, but the distinction you made afterward is more interesting.
Do you already see meaningful differences in return behavior between the channels you've tested, or is the traffic still too early to tell which sources are bringing actual users rather than visits?
10k pageviews is a real milestone. The shift from traffic to returning users is the hardest part — curious which channel brought the most engaged visitors so far.
It's hard to say exactly, since I've written about this in many places.
