Ditching the marketplace clutter: How we chose our 4 core niches

When looking at existing e-commerce and digital product marketplaces, we noticed a massive problem: they try to be everything to everyone. You have to scroll past themes, templates, and generic assets just to find raw developer primitives.

For Velaris, we decided to cut the noise completely. We are restricting our entire digital catalog strictly to 4 distinct developer pillars:

1. Micro Tools (Small, single-purpose software solutions)

2. Dev Tools (Scripts, extensions, and engineering utilities)

3. AI Tools (Pre-trained modular code and AI integrations)

4. Datasets (High-fidelity data arrays for ML models)

By focusing only on specific technical assets, we can keep the entire platform fast, clean, and highly specific for software engineers.
