Divorce and loans

Good afternoon. My sister and her husband are about to file for divorce, and in connection with this, there is now a difficult situation. She took two loans to start her husband's business, the loans are not big, but still, she alone to repay them will not be realistic, as the amount of the payment to the entire amount of her salary. At first, we hoped for the husband's decency, they remained on good terms, but he is not in a hurry with the payments. He doesn't want to take out a second mortgage. I would like to know if there is a chance in a divorce to at least split the loan in half. Also. They bought a garage together, for a purely symbolic amount from acquaintances, until the end of it was not registered, made out in her name, I would like to know whether something can be done with it, to divide it in half or something else.

A very sensitive and difficult issue to explain.
I can only share that, being the adult in the loan as well as the obligation to pay. Your sister and her husband can completely sit at the negotiating table to negotiate with each other about the amount to be paid as well as the settlement plan, even if they are divorced, they are still friends.
Hope you and your wife find the best solution soon.

You don't have to worry about that. You have the right to split the loan in half.
